The exceptional Laurent–Perrier Brut Millésimé 1997 is the latest vintage to be launched by the House of Laurent-Perrier.

The Laurent-Perrier 1997 is an elegant vintage.  Remaining true to the House style of purity and freshness, Laurent-Perrier always aims to show the quintessential character for each year and has produced another vintage champagne with an excellent ageing capacity and elegant finesse.

Crafted from unique (grand cru) growths of Chardonnay (50%) and Pinot Noir (50%) from the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs, only the juices from the first pressing are used.  The wine has been bottle-aged in the cellars for at least seven years before being disgorged and released for sale.

David Hesketh MW, Managing Director of Laurent-Perrier UK comments, “1997 started with a very cold spell with further spring frosts, followed by hail and storms.  However conditions during flowering and an intensely hot August produced high sugar levels and a concentrated level of acidity, which has produced a concentrated, fine and rounded champagne.  It has a very deep golden-yellow hue and displays stylish aromas of grapefruit, oranges and peaches. The palate shows a preserved orange peel and vanilla-like finish and the silky texture is very fine with lingering crispness and fine bubbles. 

Featuring the distinctive metallic label, Laurent-Perrier Brut Millésimé 1997 is supplied in a stylish gift box.  Inspired by photographer, Jean-Baptiste Huynh, the box poetically displays a butterfly to invoke the natural elegance of the champagne.
