Leading Champagne House,
Laurent-Perrier,
has released an outstanding vintage with its
Laurent-Perrier Brut Millésimé 1999.
Laurent-Perrier is highly selective in only producing a vintage in the very best years and 1999 was no exception - a fine vintage,
with excellent ageing capacity. Laurent-Perrier strives to express the quintessential character of the vintage
whilst remaining true to the elegant House style.
Crafted from the most prestigious growths of the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs Grand Crus
(Chardonnay 50% and Pinot Noir 50%), the wine is bottle-aged in the cellars for at least seven years,
gaining in complexity before being disgorged prior to release.
With a bright golden colour, Laurent-Perrier Brut Millésimé 1999 has fine, persistent bubbles and a complex, aromatic nose of fresh pineapple
and white peach, and a finish of dried apricots and almonds. On the palate, this ripe and well-rounded champagne has a silky finish showing
notes of preserved fruit and vanilla.
David Hesketh MW, Managing Director of Laurent-Perrier UK comments, “Following severe November frosts, winter and spring were very changeable.
But following snow on 14th April, a warm period of fine flowering took place and the harvest produced plenty of heavy and healthy bunches.
The resulting Champagne has delicate roundness with excellent ageing potential, and will make a harmonious match for fish, poultry or white meat.”
Featuring the distinctive Laurent-Perrier metallic label, Laurent-Perrier Brut Millésimé 1999 is stocked in ASDA, Sainsbury’s Fine Wine, selected Tesco stores,
Majestic and Oddbins at approx. £34.99.
